Technopreneurship for Social Change

Technopreneurship for Social Change was initiated as a partnership between UNDP Sri Lanka, National Youth Services Council, Cisco and Citi and has also currently partnered with the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka and Youth Co:Lab. The programme aims to build on national priorities placed on strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem with the use of technology skills among youth.

The programme intends to develop the entrepreneurial skills of young people by providing necessary skills including ICT. The programme enables young independent entrepreneurs to contribute towards the 2030 agenda for sustainable development by becoming technopreneurs. With the continuous support from its partners, the programme reaches thousands of young people island-wide and also acts as career guidance and a learning opportunity for the youth who will be seeking occupational opportunities in the immediate future.
